In medieval times, serfs worked the land and paid a ‘tithe’ to their lords. This could easily be translated to the burgeoning AI content ecosystem.
What if AI creator platforms implemented a shared revenue model, where community-generated AI avatars that are monetized, automatically ‘tithe’ a small percentage of their earnings to the original creator?
This could:

- Ensure ongoing compensation for creators
- Foster a more equitable AI ecosystem
But it also raises questions:

- What’s a fair percentage for this digital ‘tithe’?

I can imagine that TikTok will be flooded with AI avatars before too long, the first ones have been there for a while already.
But as AI reshapes content creation, we need to think critically about fair compensation and value distribution. The future of creative ownership in the AI era is far from certain, maybe there’s still a chance to create a positive balance for all parties.
